Hearts on fire

Lately the Spirit has been leading me to the prophecies to the churches in Revelation 2 and 3. Out of seven churches that were prophesied to five of them were called by God to repentance, and three of them were not accused of a particular sin, except that their hearts were far from God. One had lost their love for God, another was more concerned with the things of this world than the things of the Kingdom of God, and another was half-hearted in their pursuit of God. It was not for any evil deeds that they were called to repent, but that they had drifted away from intimacy with God. Their Christianity had become mere pretense and a religious ritual.

For it is time for judgment to begin in the house of God (1 Peter 4:17)

God is coming to His people as the judge. He will come with fire to purify the bride so that she be dressed in white. It is then they will be prepared to carry His glory to the ends of the earth and reap a harvest of souls. He is calling a people who will accept the fullness of who He is, and not to live for shallow religion. Theirs will be a fiery passion for God that will consume them, not merely outward shows of duty devoid of His Spirit, love, and power. They will not be content with worship on Sunday morning, they will live for the kingdom in everything they do, every day. He is calling a people who will yield their whole hearts to him, not just their outward actions. He is calling His people to account because He loves them and wants that they walk in the fullness of what He has for them. In fire and testing there will come a turning back to what is truly valuable. His fire will purify the Bride from man made religion and false teachings that have kept people in bondage. The result will be GLORY!

Take it to the streets

I had a dream recently that I believe God is a message for the bride of Christ in these days about what is to come. In this dream I was at a wedding reception. This wedding reception was in the streets of a neighborhood. The street was blocked off and people were celebrating right in the street. They were simple people having a good time. I noticed there was another wedding reception happening next door in a large upscale house. This reception was indoors. As I was socializing with these beautiful people I noticed that a rabbit was running around. Then as I was observing the rabbit a man came from next door, dressed fine and looking very together. He complained because our group was blocking the road and distracting people from getting to his party. I did not understand this since the cars of his guests were also blocking the street.

In the days to come there will be many shifts in the people of God and the way we do church. It will become more "organic" and outside of the walls of the buildings. It will be joyful and life giving and will result in much fruit. It is time to take the word to the streets.

As this happens there will be those who are upset because it interferes with their agenda. Religious spirits will complain that this new way conflicts with their programs. It is important not to be persuaded by them. They look like they have their act together, but they are filled with hypocrisy. Follow the Spirit.

This dream reminds me of the parable of the virgins (Matthew 25:1-13). All of them were preparing for a wedding, all of them had lamps, yet only some of them had oil in their lamps. There are many who have lamps, as if they could be shining the light, but they have no power to actually shine, and their religion is empty. Jesus said this was because they did not watch. It is time to shine the light of Christ again. There are those who have acquired the oil of the Spirit who will bear fruit in their cities and regions. There are other who will b found with no oil in their lamps. To them the Master will say, "I never knew you."
