Dream about a new sound

In a dream I had a shovel. I began to dig a hole when a struck something. I pulled it up to find a drum skin. I unwrapped the skin to find an old blues harmonica. I heard people coming so I wrapped the skins up and hid them, because I knew it was not quite time for them to be revealed.

I understand from this dream that a new sound is about to be released, and it will come through the drums. It is a sound that is new, yet is a remembrance of days ago. A new sound, a new rhythm, and a new anointing. The people are not yet ready, but the sound is coming soon. Healing will come through rhythms. As we get in touch with the rhythms of heaven a wave of healing will be released.

Dream from Boston JHOP

“I had a dream that I was in a conference center. I don’t remember anybody being in it accept Lou Engle and a man on a set of drums. I walked in and was watching and listening to Lou Engle pray on the mic. Lou had a light blue long-sleeve shirt on. The man was beating a drum beat while Lou prayed. All of a sudden the man on the drums literally erupted with a spirit of prophecy and interrupted Lou's praying. Lou stopped praying and turned to the man as he prophesied. The voice that came through this man was not his voice nor the voice of any man. It was the
deepest, loudest, overwhelming and booming voice. I believe it was the Lords voice. He said, ‘Salvation belongs to our God! It will belong to our God! On April 9, 2010 it will happen!’ Then Lou turned back and I watched him be completely transfigured into Abraham Lincoln with a white t-shirt on!”

Dream of the Kingdom

The following is a dream I had many years ago. This is important because sometimes God speaks to us a word that is for the future and He will spend time working it into our lives before we are to speak it out. That is why it is important to write dreams down and pray about them.

In a dream I was returning with a group of young people from a mission trip. It was assumed that we would then all go back to life as usual, working and going to school. I knew in my heart that there was more, and that God was calling me to travel down a different road. It took me a moment to decide, but I finally made up my mind to walk down a lonely road, and I walked by myself. After a while I came to a small town. There was an intercessory prayer warrior in a booth selling or giving away food. I knew I was supposed to take his place so he could rest. Next I awoke in a building in the town. My paintings were there and many signs that were used to preach the gospel. I knew I had to rise quickly and go, for my ride was waiting. I ran out the door, leaving my stuff behind, and jumped in the back of a truck. We headed down the road again. As we travelled I was suddenly in the cab of the truck where I found the intercessor, and one other prayer warrior driving the truck. The end of our journey was a city that was unlike any city I had seen. I knew it was the Kingdom of God.

1) Many are called but few are chosen. God is calling for those who are willing to be set apart for His work. Many are called, but few will step into the call. Many will be distracted by the issues of life. Those who chose to follow the call of God will walk alone at first, or feel as though they are alone. As they persist they will meet others who are on the same road and they will work together.

2) It is important that those on the same road work together. I knew that I needed to help the other prayer warrior and give him rest. If we do not learn to work together we will miss much of what God has.

3) Prayer and intercession are the beginning of the road to the kingdom. As we travel this road God will lead us to His strategy and His power. We will in the process leave many things behind that we find to be fruitless. If we do not leave these things behind we will have a hard time staying on the road. Some of these things are man’s strategies for preaching the gospel, but God is going to show His people a new way as they seek Him in prayer. It is time to awake and seek the face of God. It is time for the Church to awake to the calling of God. A trumpet is sounding.

4) Many are hungry for the deep things of God. It is important not to expect to find food from man. It is time to turn from complaining and turn to prayer. If we build a culture of prayer we will have plenty of food (physically and spiritually). Food and truth will come as the people of God become a people of prayer and worship. In the same way that the prayer warrior was distributing food, so God will raise up anointed preachers out of the place of prayer.

Holy Unto God

Before the coming of Messiah John came to prepare the way, calling people to holiness. Jesus is once again returning, and He is returning for a pure, spotless, mature bride. Once again He is sending forerunners to prepare the way and call His bride to holiness, set apart for Him.

During the Passover feast the people of Jerusalem would paint the tombs white with lime so visitors to the city could identify them and stay away. The people did not want to defile themselves with the dead; otherwise they would not be able to participate in the feast. At this feast Jesus declared that the Pharisees were like the whitewashed tombs, nice looking on the outside, but full of death. Jesus was sending the people of His day a message- stay away from the teaching of the Pharisees, for it brings death and defilement.

If someone wanted to be set apart for God in Hebrew culture they would take a nazarite vow. Part of this vow was the commitment not to touch any dead body. It was a consecration to stay away from dead things and things that defile.

Religion, earthly philosophies, and man made agendas are dead and cannot bring life. God is calling for a people who will be purified from these things and begin to think from a Heavenly perspective. He is sending a fire upon the earth, and those who are willing to go through the fire will be purified and set apart to carry His glory to the ends of the earth. Before we can be people who change the world we must first be changed. We are changed as we allow the fire of God into every part of our hearts. Nothing will bring significant change except the fire of God, so we desperately need those who are full of His fire.

He is bringing a shift in the minds of His people, teaching us to think the thoughts of Heaven, being cleansed from earthly thoughts. His desire is to change us from the inside out and teach us to truly believe. He desires to send a fire on the earth and consecrate a people as Holy unto the Lord, a pure and spotless bride ready for His return.

Can we accomplish this by our strength? Can we bring love and unity to earth with good planning? Can we walk in holiness with a strong will? If so we will have successfully made a gospel other than the one Paul preached. True grace is to fall upon the Rock and be broken. It is to allow God to work His work in us and through us by yielding to His Spirit completely.

Restoration of Ministry

Restoration of ministries

Song 4:2
Your teeth are like a flock of shorn sheep which have come up from the washing, every one bears twins and none is barren.

This is a picture of Jesus sending his disciples out two by two to bear fruit for the kingdom. This is a year when God will restore ministries and visions. Many who have become discouraged or disillusioned will find new strength through friendship. God is partnering his people together. As we find those we are called to minister with we will find strength and fruitfulness. As individuals we see what God is doing in part, but as the parts of the body of Christ come together we will see the big picture of what God is doing. We will not find victory alone. It is about interdependence.

We will not attain to the full measure of Christ until we embrace all the gifts that God sends. Many will miss what God has because they do not receive those who God has called to walk with them. Many will reject the other gifts of the body and will thus be weak themselves. This is a test of our humility. Watch for those who God sends to walk with you, even if they are from other congregations, are gifted differently, or have different doctrines.

Ephesians 4:11-13
11It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, 12to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

It will be important to recognize those who have a true call from God as Apostles, prophets, and Evangelists and so on. People will gather around those who have truly been sent from God. These who are anointed by God will be Fathers who know how to release the Children of God into the earth. They will bring a maturity to the body. This is only the beginning. True maturity will happen over time. The test will be whether we receive the gifts He sends.

Dream: There were people in a boat helping drowning victims out of the water. The important thing is that there was a captain in the boat organizing and unifying. When the captains arise then the captives will be free.

Jeremiah 18:4-5 (New International Version)
4 But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him.

Vision: A young man was in a church building. He could hear the roar of water under the floor, but could not see the water. He began to tear up the floor searching for the water, pulling up tile to get to it. As the floor was torn the water began to seep through.

This is a year of restoration. The potter is at work. Many have learned that the flesh and religion have not worked or produced fruit. It is a year of mercy, when the potter will refashion many lives and ministries and families. Those who yield to the work of God will be prepared to produce much fruit in the kingdom. The secret will be found in being humble before God and before others.

We have the victory

Joshua had boldness to enter the Promised Land because he knew it had already been given to him. 400 years earlier the land had been promised to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and that promise still stood firm in Joshua’s day. The secret to overcoming faith is to understand what God’s plan is, and what He has already given to us. The enemy has no power unless the people of God forget what God has promised them.

The children of Israel weren’t fighting in presumption or blind faith, because they had the promise of God on their side, and they knew it. They had the promise given to Abraham, they had the prophetic unction of Moses to go into the land, and Joshua had the strategy of God to take the land. It was time to move with assurance of victory.

All the battles of God’s people in the scriptures were supernatural battles. We cannot expect to win a spiritual battle in our flesh. If we want to be victorious we must become a supernatural people. This was true in the day when the battle was fought against men, how much more is it true today when we fight a war in the spirit. To see the advance of the kingdom will take a people who understand the power of God.

God commanded Moses to build altars made of uncut stone, which is, stone not formed by the strength of man. God wants to be sure that when we build the kingdom it is not built on our own strength, but on the power of God. Paul reminded the Corinthians that he did not come with wise words of human understanding, but with a demonstration of power, so that their faith would rest in God and not man. Jesus exhorted the people to believe his words because of the miracles that he did. The army of God is a people of faith who know the power of their God, and they have weapons that are mighty for pulling down strongholds. Before we can become the army that God has called us to be we must understand the power of God that works in us, for what God wants to do is far beyond our ability. We must come to understand the power that can turn dust and death into a mighty army that has the ability to turn the desert into the Garden of Eden.
