The Father in Heaven is the master potter, well able to mold us into the image of His son as we yield to Him. It is not easy to make a pot out of clay that keeps moving off the potter’s wheel, but as we yield our hearts and will to the Father He can make a beautiful masterpiece. Allow the Father to prepare your heart to be a holy house for the Spirit of God to live in.
(2Timothy 2:20-21) But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honor, and some to dishonor. Therefore if anyone purges himself from these, he shall be a vessel to honor, sanctified and useful to the Master, prepared for every good work.
If we will be set apart for God we will be ready for great works, a vessel of honor in God’s house. Allow God’s purifying fire to purge out the ideas of the world and prepare you for the call He has for you. You have a great destiny waiting in God, and only He can lead you to it. Yield to God like a leaf in the wind and He will carry you where He is going.
(Zechariah 14:20) In that day there shall be on the bells of the horses, HOLY TO JEHOVAH. And the pots in Jehovah's house shall be like the bowls before the altar.
Holy means to be “set apart” for God. There were certain bowls in the temple that were set apart (holy) and used for special sacred purposes. This prophecy speaks of a time when all the pots and containers in the house of God would be set apart. Today God calls all of His people to be set apart to Him as His own and for His works. Our highest purpose is to belong to God, spirit, soul, and body. This is a picture of being yielded to God in the depths of our being. It is not a yielding to a law, but yielding to the person of Jesus. He desires that we would tear open our hearts before Him and let His presence come into every corner and shadow of our life.
God is in the business of stripping away every selfish desire, fear of man, and evil desires of the soul. We spent much of our lives learning to be led by our flesh, but He wants to teach us to be led by the Spirit. We literally must be turned upside down and learn a new way- the way of the Spirit.
The world teaches us that to be great we must strive to be on top, but Jesus teaches that the great should strive to be a servant of all. The ministry of healing is a servant ministry, and if you don’t understand what it means to serve and give your life for others, you will not get far with healing and deliverance ministry. If you want to partner with God in this ministry, spend time meditating on Philippians chapter 2, and meditate on Christ the servant.
From our brokenness will flow sweet water, unhindered from the throne. By brokenness I am referring to sharing in the sufferings of Christ. Jesus suffered out of love for His people, and in following His example, He calls the leaders of His church to do the same. In fasting, in prayer, through persecutions, in leaving our home in this world and sometimes even our family, we follow God and serve His people, believing for a greater reward in Heaven.
