God wants to release over coming faith to His people. He said for those who believe nothing would be impossible. How do we grow in faith that can move mountains? Learn from the man who had the greatest faith. Jesus said this man was the centurion soldier. The soldier needed a miracle, and Jesus was willing to heal, as He is today. Listen to the soldier’s response.
Luke 7:8 (New American Standard Bible)
8"For I also am a man placed under authority, with soldiers under me; and I say to this one, 'Go!' and he goes, and to another, 'Come!' and he comes, and to my slave, 'Do this!' and he does it."
He said, “I also am under authority.” He had a revelation that Jesus was under the authority of the Father, and that was why He was able to command angels and demons. The soldier had a profound revelation about who Jesus is. As we see Jesus for who He really is our faith will grow. Jesus is now sitting at the right hand of God above all powers. As we truly see Him above all things we will realize that nothing is too hard for Him. Our faith will grow.
The centurion soldier had complete confidence that if he gave an order to a soldier under him that his command would be obeyed. As we come under the authority of Christ we will walk in that same confidence. We will say to devils and sickness to go and they will go. It begins with a revelation of Christ. Meditate on Him, yield to Him, remain in Him, and nothing will be impossible. If we do what He commands us to do then we will have authority to ask what we will.
Do you see Jesus seated at the right hand of God, above all powers? Have you yielded to Him and His commands? When we can say that we are also under authority, then we will have command over sickness, and faith to move mountains.
