Revealing the Sons of God

A word came forth last year that God was revealing the sons of God. I feel this is a very profound word so I researched it in scripture. The word is the result of various prophesies from people in the region.

John 15:7-15 (New King James Version)

⁷ If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. ⁸ By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.

This is an incredible promise! We all would say that we believe God can do anything, but in this verse Jesus is saying that He believes we can do all things. There is of course a prerequisite; if we abide in Him and allow Him to abide in us. There is a place where we can abide in His presence. In this place we will bear much fruit for the Kingdom. Jesus gave us the secret to overcoming victory- abide in Him and let Him abide in you.

¹⁴ You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. ¹⁵ No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you.

Jesus changed the job description of the disciples from servant to friends. He then described the difference as being “what we are aware of.” A friend knows what the Father is doing. What makes us sons rather than servants is that we can know what the Father is doing. This is part of abiding in the vine. If we want to bear fruit in the Kingdom we must be aware of what the Father is doing, and the good news is that we can! His Spirit will teach us all things.

Galatians 4

¹ Now I say that the heir, as long as he is a child, does not differ at all from a slave, though he is master of all, ² but is under guardians and stewards until the time appointed by the father.

Paul is letting us know that we can have the destiny as a son, and yet not walk in the power and authority of a son, because we are not mature. In truth, all of God’s people are children who have an inheritance in the Kingdom. Although this is the truth about who we are, not many actually walk in that authority.

³ Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world. ⁴ But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, ⁵ to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.

Jesus has freed us from the flesh so that we can walk in the Spirit. As we walk in the Spirit we walk as sons of God who know their inheritance. As we see who we truly are then we will begin to walk in it. It is time for the people of God to wake up and see who they are. It is time for the manifestation of the sons of God. Creation groans for it, for the true sons of God will heal the very land.

Those who walk in their identity as sons and daughters will walk in authority. They know that their word is heard and obeyed. They will see the kingdom advance because the have faith in the power of their God. Nothing will hinder the Kingdom moving through them. Sickness will flee, demons will tremble, nations will be changed, and true holiness will be seen. God will so trust them that He says to them, “Ask whatever you want.”

As we see Him we will be like Him. We will be transformed into His likeness as we gaze upon Him. The way we know who we are supposed to be is by seeing Jesus, for our destiny is to be like Him. It is already our destiny to be children of God. It is who we are, but we don’t always believe it and live accordingly. It is like a bank account that is in your name filled with millions of dollars, but you lack the pin number. The revelation of Jesus is the pin, for He reveals who we are.

⁶ And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!” ⁷ Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

The Spirit of God will open our eyes to see the true destiny we are called to walk in. We will see the truth that we are sons of God, and we will cry out, “Father.” If we see it we will believe it. We will see that we are co-heirs with Christ. Think about what that means! We are called to inherit the same things as Christ, including glory! Most believers have no clue about what this means, therefore they do not walk in it. God has so much more for us that what we walk in. Ask Him to open your eyes to see more of Jesus.

Pray Ephesians 1:17-

¹⁷ that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him,
